Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina has attracted the attention of the world by addressing the UN General Assembly session a day after the 'World's highest international award' of the Champions of the Earth, Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina has secured 27 awards and medals at the international level since 1997, to play an important role in the development of different sectors of Bangladesh.

Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina has received the United Nations 'ICT Sustainable Development Award' for its contribution to the development of the country's highest civilian award 'The Champion of the Earth' and 'Digital Bangladesh' in the face of climate change and the development of information technology. The prize was given to him in the UN's 70th session in 2015.

There are no environmental issues in the six issues given by the Nobel Prize. However, the UN Environment Award recognizes 'The Champion of the Earth' as ​​the Nobel in the Environment. Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina has received the highest award in the world on this year's environmental issues.

Earlier this year Sheikh Hasina received the WIP (Women in Parliament) Global Award for leading role in south and south-east Asia in reducing gender discrimination in politics. He was awarded this award on 25th March in Addis Ababa, the capital of Ethiopia.
In 2014, UNESCO awarded Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina 'Shanti Briety Medal' for her contribution to the development of women and children's education. In September 2014, Colonel University awarded the award to the Prime Minister for the unprecedented success of food production and IT.

United Nations International Organization for South-South Cooperation, 'A House and a Farm Project' for special contribution to food security and hunger and poverty alleviation in 2013, South Asia and Asia Pacific 'Manthan Award' and 'United Nations Food and Agriculture' at the IT Fair held in New Delhi, India. Earlier, in the year 2012, the INESCOC awarded the Prime Minister the Cultural Diversity Award for special contribution to protect cultural diversity and cultural activities of Bangladesh.
On 26 January 2011, Speaker John Brecro MP of the House of Commons of England gave the Global Diversity Award to the Prime Minister for his outstanding contribution in reducing democracy, for the development of awareness, better governance, human rights protection, regional peace and climate change challenges.

In addition to the South South Award in the same year, the International Telecommunication Union (ITU) South South News and the United Nations Economic Commission for the United Nations jointly received Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina's South-South Award-011: Digital Development Health for special contribution in reducing the rate of women and child mortality in the health sector. This award is awarded.

In recognition of achieving the MDG-4 relating to decreasing child mortality, the United Nations gave the Millennium Development Goal Award to Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina in 2010.

In February of the same year, the Catholic University of Brussels, Honorius Kasa, and the University of Bardegrapot in Connecticut, USA, on September 5, gave 'Doctor of Human Letters' to Sheikh Hasina for her contribution to world peace and development.

For the recognition of human rights, Australian National University received the 'Doctor of Laws' degree on October 20, 1999 and 'Ceres Medal' by FAO for recognition of the movement against hunger.

In 1998, the Norwegian capital Oslo Mahatma Gandhi Foundation awarded Prime Minister Sheikh Mujib as the 'MK Gandhi' award. In April of the same year, the UNESCO awarded Sheikh Mujibur Rahman Peace Prize to 'Mother Teresa Padak' and Sheikh Hasina for her contribution to the establishment of peace and harmony in establishing peace and harmony in April.

In the same year, on 28 January, Shanti Niketan's Visva-Bharati gave Sheikh Mujibur Rahman the title of 'Deshikottam', the highest honorary award of the University in a stellar special convocation ceremony.
